Ze Carlos Coutinho is the proud father of a Brazilian-born professional footballer, Philippe Coutinho, who plays for Aston Villa and the Brazil national team.
Former Liverpool and Inter Milan star Coutinho who plays both as an attacking midfielder and winger, spent his youth career with his hometown club, Vasco da Gama.

Coutinho happily married his wife Dona Esmeralda Coutinho a long time back.

When Inter Milan purchased Philippe in 2008, Phillipe stayed at Vasco da Gama on loan for two years since he was forbidden due to age restrictions.
He was 16 at the time, and as per the FIFA rule, international transfer of footballers is only possible when they reach 18.
So after he turned 18, he moved to Inter Milan. Along with him, Ze Carlos and Dona also moved in with him so that it would help Philippe to settle easily.
According to Philippe, the move of his parents from their native Brazil to Italy was not easy.
They were already old, and learning a new language and adapting to its culture was tough.

Phillippe also said that the most painful part was that his father had to leave his job, and for a person who loved being engaged, it was painful.
However, after a certain time, they returned to Brazil. Now, Philippe is accompanied by his wife and kids.

His son Philippe married his childhood sweetheart Aine Coutinho whom he met through his mutual friend.
Both met at the party organized by their mutual friend and ended up talking for hours.
Though they liked one another, they could not muster the courage to speak.
Since they were from the same neighborhood, they started seeing one another often and going places together, which made their feelings for one another even stronger.

It was Aine who initiated first because of Philippe’s shy and reserved nature. The love birds exchanged their wedding vows in 2012 in Milan, Italy.
The couple welcomed three beautiful kids, two daughters, Maria and Esmeralda, and a son, Philippe junior.

Philippe takes him as his idol and never forgets to mention that because he knows the sacrifice he made to make him in the position he is in today.
