Zandy Reich

Zandy Reich is the husband of Lea Michele, an American actress, singer, songwriter, and author who is best known for her role as Rachel Berry on the Fox television series "Glee."

Reich is an entrepreneur. He is the president of the AYR clothing company. 

Early life

Reich was born to his parents, Abraham Reich and Sherri Reich who are both lawyers. He grew up alongside his brother Spencer Reich in Philadelphia. 

He attended the University of Pennsylvania with an economics major. 

While at the University, he was recruited to play Lacrosse even serving as captain of the Lacrosse team in his senior year. 

He said, at the time, since Lacrosse was a huge time commitment, it cut into social and academic life leaving little chance to get involved in other things noting that it has been worth it. 

He said his role as a captain helped him to learn how to lead by example.

How did he meet his future wife?

Reich and Michele sat with People to give the intimate detail of their wedding where they talked about everything, their first meet, proposal, wedding venue, etc. 

The couple first met at their best friend's wedding and was seated next to each other as the bride and groom's best friend. 

Michele said it was apparent from the minute they met that they were meant to be for each other. 

She says she feels fortunate to have met such an incredible person who she loves so much. 

Michele was hoping that the proposal would happen but she didn't know at that very moment. 

Reich proposed to her with her dream ring on the 28th of April, 2018 in a completely private place with no people around. 

They were only two of them in a place very special to them. The couple married on March 9, 2019, in a romantic ceremony in Napa, California. 

According to Michele, she never knew exactly where she wanted to get married but they knew they both loved Napa. 

They have spent vacationing a couple of months prior so it was special. 

Their wedding was officiated by Glee creator Ryan Murphy. Her ravishing wedding gown was designed by celebrity fashion designer, Monique Lhuillier. 

She was styled by her longtime friend Brad Goreski. 

Welcomed their first child in 2020 

The couple became parents for the first time welcoming their son Ever Leo Reich in August 2020. 

Michele during a conversation with TODAY’s Hoda Kotb shared how motherhood changed her perspective on everything. 

She said her pregnancy shook her and everything else just wiped away and all came zeroing in on what matters the most and finding strength that she never thought that she had or had to have. 

It just really grounded and softened her in so many ways and also put so much into perspective or what really matters and what she wants the rest of her life to look like.
