Late. George, in one of his interviews, mentioned that he went through severe depression. This happened after his mom died. 

He also recalls having a strange sort of way that the six months George had spent trying to make a record that he needed to make about that entire incident and also, at the same time, fighting for his reputation, which he claims was a great distraction for him. 

At that point in time, George actually realized that he had finished his grieving for his mom as she died 18 months ago. 

George, after several years, confronted that when he tries to look back at that time, he feels that it was a great distraction.

George also confessed that when that incident finished, he went all through low as there were no other things that would distract him from the real fact that he was missing his mom truly from his heart.
