Yetunde’s boyfriend Rolland Wormley, for the first time, publicly opened up with Page Six about his relationship with Yetunde and also about the night she was murdered because he was alongside her during her final moment.
According to Wormley, he and Yetunde first met at the surprise birthday party in Compton that their mutual friends had thrown for him to celebrate his 28th birthday.
While he was on the dancefloor, his eyes caught Yetunde, who wasn’t dancing. Since it was his birthday, he wanted everyone to be happy, so he went to her and sat next to her.
At the time, he didn’t know who she was and from which family she belonged. They ended up dancing and chatting the whole night together.
It took them no longer time to start dating, but when Yetunde asked him to move with her to Corona and marry her, he didn’t want to rush because he wanted to gain the trust of Yetunde’s three children from her previous relationships.
Yetunde shared a son Jeffrey with her first ex-husband Jeffrey Johnson and daughter Justus and a son Jair with her second ex-husband Byron Bobbitt.
At the time of her death, her eldest Jeffrey was 11, Justus was 5, and Jair was just 3.

Yetunde also knew about his history, as he had already shared with her when they met.
The night she was murdered, he recalled Yetunde repeatedly calling him as she was upset that he had forgotten their planned date.

Then he saw a guy standing with a g*n shooting toward them. In a second, Yetunde was shot, and blood started to drip all over.
He took her to his mom’s nearby apartment and called 911.
She would have been alive if she had been rushed to the hospital immediately because she was still living, but the authorities didn’t care about her until they found she was the tennis star’s sister, but it was too late.
The authorities handcuffed Wormley on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.
Wormley was behind bars for a week for investigation and was not allowed to phone or watch the news, and the most heartwrenching part was he could not attend Yetunde’s funeral, he added.
