Yemer Wondwosen is a former professional runner in the marathon, currently working in a dairy Company. 

Yemer is a proud father of his celebrity sons, Elias Ymer and Mikael Ymer, the professional Tennis players from Sweden. 

Mikael Ymer wants to create his vision

Mikael Ymer, the second-eldest son of Ymer and a younger brother of Elias, wants to create his vision and does not like being told too much about what to do.

Wondwosen is happily married to his wife Kelemework Elias Yigletu back in the '90s. 

They left Ethiopia in the 1980s due to the civil war and began a new life in Sweden. They are currently residing in Stockholm together with their sons.

The wedding ceremony was held privately when there was an ongoing war between Ethiopia and Eritrea.

Blessed with three beloved children 

The couple is blessed with three beloved sons, Elias, Mikael, and Rafael. 

Wondwosen wanted his sons to be an athlete as a good marathoner but later was convinced with their interests in tennis. 

His dream of becoming a good marathoner could not be fulfilled due to the war in Ethiopia. Both of his sons today have reached a height of success.

He and his wife both played a role in their son's achievements 

Both Ymer and his wife, who is a kids doctor, as parents have sacrificed more or less for the betterment of their sons. 

They always taught them to be humble, kind, and to have the same level of respect no matter what they do. 

They also taught them to appreciate small things, which became a lesson for the boys. Mikael and Elias both credit their parents for playing a role in their achievements.

His son Mikael achieved a single ranking of world no. 73 in 2019 and 187 in career-high double ranking in 2017, whereas his other son was ranked 105 in ATP singles in 2018 and 188 in the ATP double ranking in 2017.
