Yassmin Abdel-Magied is a very intellectual woman and she is respected worldwide for her work. She is a mechanical engineer and a writer. She is also a mass media presenter.

However, she has confessed that she thinks Australia as an abusive boyfriend. This remark of her was controversial.

“If people really want to know, I describe myself as an adventure junkie. I just want to try out a whole bunch of different things … and I’m a storyteller. I like trying out different things and then I really like telling stories about them. Those stories are how I communicate out to the world and I’m someone that wants to have an impact and try and do that not only through my actions, but through telling people about them so that they can view things in a different way.”
She presented in Ted Talk about, “What does my headscarf mean to you?” This idea of hers was chosen as TED’s top ten ideas of the year 2015.

She has several books and writing works to her name. In 2012, she released Redefining the Narrative: Thoughts & Questions of a Young Australian Muslim Finding Her Path.
She released another on named On the rigs and this was very well received as well.
Her work named What are they so afraid of? I’m just a young brown Muslim woman speaking my mind created a lot of buzz too. Her work, New Daughters of Africa: An International Anthology of Writing by Women of African Descent was successful as well and this was released on 8th March, 2019.

She also contributed for Triple J Radio National Radio. She did a podcast for F1 Racing as well and also contributed for SBS TV, The Truth About Racism. Her work in ABC TV’s Hard Chat was amazing too and turned a lot of heads around.
