How did she meet her future husband?

Lucus first met her future husband, Keith, at an Oklahoma nightclub in the year 1981. 

She at the time was just 19, while Keith was 20. Lucus, in an interview, said Keith was just one of those larger-than-life guys, full of confidence. 

He used to work in the oil fields during the daytime and perform at local bars with his band Easy Money at night.

They instantly hit it off and began dating.

They dated for three years before walking down the aisle on the 24th of March, 1984. They have been together since then.

Proud mother of three

Lucus is the proud mother of her three beautiful children, two daughters and a son. 

Prior to marrying Keith, she was married to her ex-husband, with whom she shares a daughter Shelley. 

Shelley was born a year before she met Keith. Soon after she married Keith, he adopted Shelley. 

She welcomed daughter Krystal with Keith in 1985 and, in 1997, welcomed son Stelen.

She is an avid lover of golf 

Lucus is an avid lover of golf. While talking to the CEO of Diamond Resorts, Mike Flaskey, her husband shared her passion for golf. 

He said her love for golf is so deep that she is a huge supporter of women's golf and has even launched her own women's golf clothing line under the name SWINGDISH. 

According to her husband, she and her husband bought a country club back in Norman. 

He loved the greens and the design of it and was playing it in some way, and they were just letting it go before they ended up buying it and turning it into a private course called Belmar.

"Lucus started playing golf about then, and the only thing she didn't like was that women were wearing a smaller version of men's gear. 

She thought there was a need for women's design and took her daughter and got a designer and started making their own women's clothes", he said.

Her husband is battling stomach cancer

Her husband has been battling with stomach cancer since 2021. 

He took his Instagram back in 2022 to reveal the news of his disease. 

He wrote he was diagnosed with stomach cancer last fall, informing the fans that he spent the last six months receiving chemoradiation and surgery.

He made his first TV appearance after his cancer battle, giving an interview with CMT's Cody Alan, where he talked about his battle and also hinted at returning to the stage if all goes well. 

He told Alan,

"It's debilitating to have to go through all that, but as long as everything stays hunky-dory, then he'll look at something good in the future. 

Following his interview, he surprised fans at a hotel in Oklahoma with a performance.
