Toni Dalic

Toni Dalic is famous as the son of Croatian professional football manager Zlatko Dalic. Zlatko has managed the Croatian National Team since 2017. 

Led Croatia to World Cup 

Having spent seven years with clubs in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, Zlatko became the manager for the Croatia National Team on 7 October 2017. 

He led the team to World Cup qualifying on 9 October, securing second place in their group. He further proved himself leading the team to the World Cup finals. 

Croatia, however, could not give their best results in Euro 2020, due to which they almost did not qualify for the two major tournaments. 

They qualified directly after winning Group E. There is still a chance to stand out if Croatia beats England in the opening match on 13 June. 

His parents met in high school 

His parents Zlatko and Davorka Propadalo met in high school at Livno. Davorka moved with Zlatko from Livno to Varazdin in the year 1992. 

They married the same year in a private wedding ceremony. They have been together since then.        

Sibling

Toni is an elder brother to Bruno Dalic, who was born five years younger than him. Bruno is currently pursuing his studies. He is a management student at the American University in Zagreb.

Mother sacrificed her career

His mother was offered a job at Varteks in 1995. Toni was just two years old at the time. Tony had to go through adjustments while he was in Kindergarten. 

So Davorka decided to sacrifice her career to raise her kids. Toni's only regret is his mother because she dedicated her life to him and his brother; otherwise, she would have achieved more professionally in economics. 

Toni sees his future in the management of football club

Toni has been a director at Varazdin football club for four and a half years. 

According to Toni, his dad, the sports director at Varteks, kicked him out of  Varteks, telling him that he was not for football and asked him to take computer science. 

The words hurt him deep down when the news broke with a headline "I also expelled my son from Varteks."

The word pinched him so hard that he started getting trained at the local lower league without letting his father know. 

He would attend games telling that he was going to play meadow with friends. Then, he went to Technical Polytechnic at Zareb and studied three years of informatics and two years of digital marketing. 

He had almost given up his football career dream and had already started working for Microsoft and Acer when his father gave did him the greatest favor. 

When his father was in the Emirates, he asked him to work for the club until his return to Varazdin. His father would not have been in this position today if Varazdin had not given him the sports director position.

Dating

Toni is currently dating former Miss Universe Croatia first-runner up Alma Fabulic. They first met while working at Zrce, where Tony worked as a DJ and Alma as a hostess manager for several seasons. 

They have been dating since January 2018. Alma has worked as a model in China.

The exact net worth of Toni is not disclosed. However, we have the net worth of his father, Zlatko. 

Zlatko signed a contract with Croatia with a whopping annual salary of €500,000 until 30 July 2020. He further extended his contract until the end of 2022 with an annual salary of €1.6 million.
