BIRTH AND PARENTS

Tobin was born on August 7, 1942, in Queens, New York. He was raised in Weymouth, Massachusetts. 

He was the son of Eileen Julia Bell Tobin and Joseph H. Tobin. 

His father was known for his establishment of the radio station WJDA in Quincy, Massachusetts. 

On the other hand, his mother was an actress who worked at the Quincy Repertory Company.

EARLY CAREER 

Bell played many background roles in films in the late 1970s and early 1980s. He did not have any major role in any movies of that era. 

The movies he played weren’t even ranked on IMDb. 

After a long struggle in the filming industry, he finally got a chance to be cast in a movie in a major role. 

The movie’s name was Mississippi Burning. He slowly got many major cast roles and started to flourish in his career.

Tobin was married to Elizabeth Bell. They exchanged wedding vows in 1993. They share two children whom they named Copper Bell and Justin Bell.
