Her father aspired to become a singer
His father aspired to become an east coast lounge singer and was singing for local pop bands before his acting career took off.
But how did he end up becoming an actor?
Born in Newark, New Jersey, to a forklift driver, Angelo Pesci, and Maria, a part-time barber, he was just five years old when he started appearing in plays in New York after his father pushed him into show business and by the age of the 10, he was already regular on a television show called Startime Kids.
In his teen, he began working as a barber. He became friends with Singer Frankie Valli, who used to come to his parlor to get his hair cut.
Pesci was the one who helped form the band Four Seasons as he was friends with Tommy DeVito and Bob Gaudio and introduced them to one another.
They credited Pesci behind their success and invited him on the stage in 2006 when they accepted Tony Award for Jersey Boys, the Broadway musical of their band.
When Pesci was 37, he landed a role in a low-budget crime film, The Death Collector, but he stood out in his role and impressed Robert De Niro, who later offered him a role in Raging Bull as Joey LaMotta.
He then started landing up the roles. Since he always aspired to become a singer, he was not able to make his name in the music industry. But he didn’t give up.
In 1998, he recorded his album titled Vincent LaGuardia Gambini Sings Just For You, named after his role in his 1992 film My Cousin Vinny.
He semi-retired from his acting career in 1999 before returning in 2006 with a cameo role in The Good Shepherd.
Did her mother attempt the murder of her ex-husband?
Soon after divorce on May 20, 2000, her mother’s ex-husband, Garrett Warren, was shot four times in the chest, neck, left hip, and right eye by a gunman.
He luckily survived, but the incident left him loose his right eye.
Recalling the incident of the tragic night, Warren told Nancy Grace of HLN network that he had just put his young daughter to sleep that night when he heard a doorbell ringing constantly for six or seven times that was fast and frantic.
When he finally opened the door, he was shot four times on point-blank range, landing him on the floor.
His mother tried to stop the bleeding, and he called the 9-1-1 and was able to get the service on time.
When asked what made him realize that it was Haro who attempted the murder, he said the moment he was being pulled out of the house, he had the suspicions because there wasn’t anybody else in his life that had any other motive other than her.
The reason was not only custody of their young daughter but also the heated divorce, he explained.
However, it took two years to prove the wrongdoings.
After the investigation, it was discovered that Haro’s brother Manuel Haro was also involved in the crime, helping her hire the gunman, who later pled guilty to conspiracy to commit murder, leading Haro to 12 years jail sentence for attempted murder in 2012.
She served her jail sentence at the California Institution for Women in Chino, California, before being released in August 2019.
