Thomas J. Thibodeau Sr. is famous as a celebrity father. 

He was the father of an American basketball coach Thomas Joseph Thibodeau Jr. who goes by Tom Thibodeau.

Before becoming the head coach for the New York Knicks of the National Basketball Association in 2020, he served as an assistant coach for the United States men’s basketball team. 

Also, he helped the USA team win a gold medal in 2016’s Olympic Games.

Thomas J. Thibodeau Sr. died at 83 on Christmas Day of 2013 in New Britain, Connecticut. 

He was serving as an assistant coach for the United States men’s national basketball team. 

He is survived by four of his children, sons-in-law, a daughter-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and beloved wife. 

His beloved wife celebrated her 87th birthday in January 2021.

The wedding was called off, and he has not married to date

Tom was engaged to a woman named Debbie, but unfortunately, the wedding was called off.  

According to the sources, he dated two girls simultaneously, and coincidentally both of their names were Debbie. 

It is not known which of the Debbie he got engaged to. 

After the wedding was called off, he returned all the gifts that the couple had received. 

The reason might be his extreme devotion to his career. He is 63 years old and is still unmarried.
