Teresa Bento

Teresa Bento is famous as the celebrity wife of Portuguese-born professional footballer manager and a former player, Paulo Bento. 

Bento is currently the manager of the South Korea National team. 

As a former player, Bento represented his native Portugal in the 2002 World Cup as well as Euro 2000.

Bento vowed to take South Korea to the next level

Bento took over South Korea in 2018.

At the press conference, he stated that he would try to achieve his ambition which was to lift the Asian Cup and qualify for the FIFA World Cup, and would use the opportunity to take South Korean football to the next level. 

His first achievement with the team was winning the E-11 football championship after beating Japan 1-0 in Busan. 

After the victory, Bento said it’s important to be sure of what they are creating and their style, whether it’s a win or lose, and that they share trust and confidence with the players and will be continuing to lead as it is in the future.

His second achievement was leading the national team to qualify for the World Cup after a 2-0 victory over Syria. 

Leading the team to qualify for the World Cup was his ambition, as he had stated before.

Bento was 35 when he took over the coaching job at Sporting’s youth club in 2004 and led the team to the junior championship victory in 2005 before becoming the head coach of Sporting CP between 2004-2009. 

With the club, he experienced four victories, the Portuguese Cup in 2006-07 and 2007-08, and the Portuguese Super Cup in 2007 and 2008. 

He took over Portugal in September 2010.

During his four seasons at the club, he managed to lead the team to the 2012 Euro semi-finals but eventually lost on penalties, and in 2014 secured a spot in World Cup. 

During his 1-year stint at Olympiacos, he led the team to qualify for the domestic cup semi-finals. 

Before taking over South Korea, he was the head coach of Chongqing Lifan, but he was sacked from the post just after six months following the poor results.

Married to the love of her life

Teresa married the love of her life, Paulo Bento, on the 6th of June, 1992. 

Since then, they have been together in the best and the worst, which is what partners are for. 

They recently celebrated their 30th marriage anniversary, where Teresa shared the pictures of her wedding day and wished Paulo a very happy marriage anniversary. 

She wrote her family is everything to her and that she is a proud mom and proud wife. 

Paulo started looking at life differently since becoming a father

Teresa is the mother of two beautiful daughters, Sofia and Marta, whom she shares with her husband, Paulo. 

Since becoming a father, Paulo admitted to looking at life differently. He said that parenthood became the main reason for them to fight for the future. 

He also said that his daughters are super proud of his achievements.

Her eldest daughter Sofia, 29, runs a small menagerie at her home. According to her Instagram, she is a writer-in-training. 

While her other daughter Marta, 25, graduated from New York University (NYU) with a master's degree in May. The family is currently residing in South Korea.
