Teresa Barrick

Teresa Barrick is an American clothing designer mainly recognized as an ex-spouse of former American Idol judge and lead singer of Boston-based rock band Aerosmith, Steven Tyler.

Tyler was interested in her sister before her

Tyler was initially interested in Barrick's sister, Lisa. 

Lisa was in a relationship with Tyler's drug merchant, Brimstone, and when he introduced her to him, he fell for her, too. 

He tried to woo her but failed, after which he asked if there was any more like her at home. Lisa then introduced him to Teresa, who was working at the restaurant. 

When they met, Tyler was still married to his first wife Cyrinda Foxe, an ex-Warhol model and a former wife of New York Doll's lead singer David Johansen, but their marriage was falling apart. 

They eventually got divorced in 1977. On the 28th of May, 1988, Tyler and Teresa got married in Teresa's hometown Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The reason behind their divorce was Tyler's infidelity

Teresa was 28 when she married Tyler, who at the time was 40. Despite their huge age difference, their marriage lasted for nearly two decades. 

Teresa would have stayed with Tyler if he had not cheated on her. They announced their separation in 2005. Their divorce was finalized in 2006.

In an interview with Rolling Stone back in 2011, Tyler shared he has always been sexually active, and when he goes on tour, he is always approached by people who see his sexuality and get caught in a loop. 

"When you ask me how much I think about sex, it's a lot more when I am on the road because people approach me about it," he said.

Similarly, during an interview with Fox News, when he was asked how he has a meaningful relationship when he has women throwing themselves at him all the time, his answer was, "You cheat. You break. You are not true, not faithful. And I paid dearly for it".
