In the year 2019, his dad Andy underwent a hip resurfacing surgery on London. The surgery was done on the 28th of January. 

Although the surgery was risky, it went out well. He is now completely fine and healthy. 

His dad even shared a picture of him after surgery on his Instagram. He captioned it as,

Andy wanted to be healthy

In an interview, Andy stated that he just wanted to try and be healthy for a period. 

After three years, he mentioned that he had played tennis on a set of grass courts single tennis since 2018. 

So Andy says that he is unaware of what to expect from his performances. 

But he is looking forward to playing back in front of the British crowd again and performing well like before. 

When asked what was his one goal to stay healthy? Andy instantly replies that that is the only goal, to be healthy. 

Andy explained that if he can remain healthy, he will definitely get good results. And good results are obtained by good practice and playing well. 

But he hasn’t been able to stay on the court long enough to build up any momentum or anything. 

Andy mentioned as of now, he needs to be the focus on that. He mentioned that maybe there was a bit of guilt at the end of 2019 after returning.

Andy also has an interest in sports overall. Well, he used to play football and at the same time tennis too in his teenage years. 

Back then, he also confronted that he refused the opportunity to the trails with Glasgow Rangers FC, the Scottish club.
