Takuma Asano is a Japanese professional footballer who plays for the Bundesliga club VfL Bochum and the Japan national team.
His career so far
Asano attended Yokkaichi Chuo Technical High school before he joined Sanfrecce Hiroshima in January 2013 at the age of 18.
He was soon to impress everyone with his skills, winning the J1 league in his debut season and the Japanese Super Cup in 2014.
Later that year, he contributed to the team to lift the title for the second time and was named the J1 League Rookie of the Year.
In July 2016, he was signed by Arsenal. Asano, at the time, said he wasn’t sure whether to accept Arsenal's offer.
According to him, he had always wanted to play abroad and had a few offers before, but he was never sure if he should go or not.
