Svetlana Semak is famous for being an ex-spouse of a professional football manager and a retired international midfielder, Sergei Semak. 

Sergei is the current manager of FC Zenit. Svetlana is the co-director and co-founder of the company “LIMO-CLUB Sergei Semak.”

How did they meet?

A sweet love story was about to begin after their first meet in the nearby cafe of their house. 

Sergei was living in the apartment that the club had rented for him, and luckily Svetlana was living two entrances next to Sergei. 

The following day, they met again, and without wasting his time, Sergei handed her a bouquet of roses with a note through a waitress.

Svetlana was aware of her husband’s extra marital-affair for a very long time. The first time when Svetlana and Sergei crossed paths with Sergei’s now-wife, Anna, was at the restaurant. 

Though she knew that Sergei was already married, she still gave him a note with her phone number. The conversation between the two started then. 

She had in her mind that something was fishy when she found her spouse's pass to the town house in Kurkino. 

She assumed that Sergei might have bought an apartment for Anna, which proved to be correct after three years, although Sergei had denied it several times. 

She was not expecting divorce 

The man whom she had loved from the core of her heart was slowly going far away from her. 

She had even encountered hair in his apartment and ladies stuffs when he was living alone in France, but he asked her to forgive him. 

Because she loved him so much, she mustered the courage to forgive him. But then, she got a call from Anna from where she found out that Anna and Sergei lived together in Paris in her absence. 

She even told that Sergei used to take off his wedding ring while he was with her and she was expecting their child. 

Later, Anna gave birth to their child, which she unwillingly had to accept. For three years, Svetlana, Sergei, and Anna lived together. 

In 2006, her spouse returned to Moscow while she remained in France so that their son could finish second grade. 

After completing the grade, the mother and son were about to move back to Moscow with Sergei when she got the call from her husband, and a very unexpected thing happened. 

Sergei informed that he was no longer living with her. They divorced in December 2007.

Her only son became the reason to live

Her heart was shattered in pieces when she got to know that her husband was no longer interested in him and was leaving him. 

The meaning of life slowly faded away, but then she thought of her only son Ilya whom she shares with Sergei. 

Gradually, she started moving on in her life. Svetlana has been living with her 23 years old son, Ilya, in Moscow.

A stunning career both as a player and a manager led him to earn an impressive net worth along with several awards and accolades. 

Sergei has been unstoppable since he arrived in Zenit as a head coach in 2018. He led the team to win the Russian Premier League in 2018-19, 2019-20, and 2020-21, Russian Cup in 2019-2020, and the Russian Super Cup in 2020 and 2021.
