Their marriage just lasted for over a year as their marriage got annulled on September 4, 1957

Just after two years, Dale married Lula Mae on November 13, 1959. The couple remained together till February 8, 1977, and got divorced.

He was also the host of an anthology series, “Death Valley Days.” 

Sadly, Dale is no longer alive as he died on February 27, 2013, in La Jolla, California, United States

He died at the age of 89 in a hospital due to lung cancer and pneumonia.

Dale claimed that he chose the acting profession to make enough money to fulfill his dreams. 

He was raised on the ranch, so it had an impact on his life. 

In one of his documentaries, we found out that he chose to become an actor to make enough money to fulfill his dream of having a horse farm as he wanted to raise and train them.

Dale was a professional boxer at Oklahoma Military Academy. He even served in the military during World War II and was wounded twice. 

He was enlisted in the US Army, where he served as a tank commander. 

He fought in North Africa and Europe, and his service led him to earn a bronze star and Purple Heart. 

An active member of the Western community

Dale was a founding member of the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum

He served as the president of the respective museum for a year from 1798 to 1979

He was also a board member of the Western Performers Hall of Fame and the Cowboy Artists of America, which makes him an active member of the Western Community

He even founded the Dale Robertson Ranch, which was a nonprofit organization that used to provide opportunities for underprivileged children to learn about Western heritage. 

The ranch had offered a program for at-risk youth that focused on character development and leadership skills.
