DHANI COMPLETED HIS FATHER’S UNFINISHED ALBUM

In 1988, George started recording songs for his future album “Brainwashed.” 

A few years after, the recording was postponed due to some problems with his ex-manager, Denis O’Brien.

After eleven years, he was attacked by a person suffering from paranoid schizophrenia, which made him stay home, giving him time to focus on wrapping up his album. 

However, when they were very close to finishing the album, George passed away due to lung cancer a year before the release of Brainwashed. 

However, Dhani and Jeff Lyne carefully followed the guide that Georg had left behind and thus completed the album.

On 9th December 2022, Dhani announced the release of the song “Presence” by Mereki via his Instagram handle. 

That was the first single of Mereki from her first-ever solo album. 

Dhani also mentioned that he absolutely loved working on the song, which was shot in the winter of 2021. 

He also added that it kept him sane.
