Simon Luckinbill is an American-born painter more famous as the son of American actress and singer Lucie Arnaz

His father is Laurence Luckinbill, an actor, director, and playwright.

How did his parents meet?

His parents first met through their mutual friend while doing "They are playing our Song."

His father, at the time, was starring in another Simon play and was on the verge of divorce from his then-wife.

His mother though she didn't want to get involved with his father, kept inviting him between Saturday afternoon and evening shows.

Three months after, they were dating. They got married on the 22nd of June, 1980, and have been together since then.

They currently reside in Palm Springs. Before settling in Palm Springs, they initially rented a house in Palm Springs but gradually fell in love with the place.

During an interview with Desert Sun, Arnaz said she thought Palm Springs was for old people and there's not a whole lot to do, and now she is older, she is one of those people.

She thinks it's a good place to retire, and also it has become a hip place, she added.

Likewise, before marrying his father, his mother married Philip Vandervort Menegaux from July 1971 to April 1976.

About his career

Simon was born in Los Angeles and raised in New York. He chose a different path in his career.

Simon, during an interview with Coachella Valley Weekly, said he discovered he had a passion for using color, texture, and a hint of fantasy to express himself.

He had studied music, drums, percussion, poetry, and nutrition before realizing his dream. He then started looking at painting as a way of self-expression.

He said he tells stories with his work, and he tells his story with his art. His main sources of inspiration are music, nature, vision quests, and as a Christian, God.

He is the grandson of five-times Emmy-winning actress Lucille Ball

Simon is the grandson of five times Emmy-winning actress Lucille Ball and actor, film, and television producer, Desi Arnaz. His grandmother was a working mom.

She gave birth to his mother six weeks before the hit show I Love Lucy, in which she starred along with her husband, went on air.

His mother, in an interview, while recalling her childhood, said that her parents weren't at home most of the time.

She said when her mom was at home, she was determined to run her house because she was a working mom in her 50s, and there was probably a lot of guilt involved for not being able to be with her kids.

Her friends used to think her mom was just like the character she played in I Love Lucy, funny and outrageous, but it was not like that.

She was very responsive, took care of the business, and worried a lot about the household, and she sort of fashioned herself as a homemaker and enjoyed entering the kitchen and making chickens and dumplings, she added.

His grandmother got into show business at quite an early age.

She left her hometown, Jamestown, to take an acting class in New York, but she was rejected and was told she had no talent.

She then returned and did some plays for a few years. Her mother knew her passion, so she helped her and paid her way.

She became a model in New York, and after being great at modeling, she got a big break as she took the place of somebody on the way to Hollywood whose mother didn't let her go, and she went with the Goldwyn Girls in Roman Scandals. Her journey started from there, and the rest is history.

How many siblings does he have?

Simon has two siblings, a brother Joseph and a sister, Katharine. His brother Joseph is a guitarist, while his sister Katharine is an actress.

Besides that, he has two older half-brothers, Nicholas and Benjamin, from his father’s previous marriage to actress Robin Strasser.

Net Worth

His exact net worth is under review. As of now, we have the net worth of his mother, Lucie Arnaz. His mother has a net worth of $20 million.

  1. He was born on December 10, 1980. He is currently 42 years old.
