It was love at first sight

Schonenberger met her future husband at a concert in Switzerland in 2007. They soon started dating. 

During an interview with Blick, she said it was love at first sight, and she was totally in love. She also said at the time that maybe they would actually get married.

As she said, they actually got married on the 13th of December, 2013.

Their marriage has proved that age is just a number, as she is a little over 33 years his junior, and they are still together to date. 

They are currently residing in Nashville, Tennessee.

She is the third wife of Mars

Schonenberger is the third wife of Mars. He was married for the first time to Sharon Deal. 

The former couple share two kids together, a son named Les Paul Deal and a daughter named Stormy, born in 1971 and 1973, respectively. 

He was then married to Emi Canyn from 1990 to 1994. Canyn tragically died in 2017 at the age of 62. The cause of her death is still unknown.

She is the step-mom of three

Schonenberger does not share any kids with her husband, but she is the step-mom of three, two sons, Les Paul Deal and Erik Deal, and a daughter, Stormy, born to her husband from her previous relationship. 

However, Mars has not revealed the mother of Erik to date. It is still a mystery who his mother is.

Why did her husband sue his Motley Crue?

Mars announced he was retiring from touring because of his ongoing health issues in October 2022, but the following day, the band confirmed that John 5 had taken his place, confirming Mars' complete retirement from the band the same week.

Mars then filed a lawsuit against Motley Crue, alleging that the band used it as an excuse to remove him from the group he co-founded 41 years back.

During an interview with Rolling Stone, he said he covered for them when they wanted to get high and f**k everything up, but now they are trying to take his legacy away, his part of Motley Crue, his ownership of the name, his brand. 

But he is not going to let them, he said. He also questioned, "How can you fire Mr. Heinz from Heinz Ketchup?

Similarly, while speaking to Variety, he alleged his former bandmate of hammering him since '87' trying to replace him. 

"I carried those bastards for years," he told Variety. 

According to him, he helped form the band, and it's his name. He came up with the Motley Crue moniker idea, the money he had from a backer to start his band. 

And they kept pushing him for many years because of his memory, which he said is out-of-proportion crap, he expressed. 

He recalled visiting all his doctors when they started telling him his memory was bad around 2012. All of his doctors said that nothing was wrong with him.

Mars said that the truth is that he wants to retire from touring because of his AS (Ankylosing Spondylitis), the inflammatory form of arthritis that mainly affects the spine and pelvis, the disease he was diagnosed with when he was 17 years old. 

He doesn't have a problem with remembering the songs or any other stuff, but he does have a problem with them constantly saying that he lost his memory which is absolutely wrong, he added.
