Scott Mctominay

Scott McTominay is an English-born professional footballer who is currently playing for Manchester United as a central midfielder. 

He plays for Scotland national team because of his Scottish father. 

He was not alone in his football journey

The football journey for Scott became much easier because his parents were together in the path.

Had an incredible growth spurt after 18

It is rare to have a growth spurt after 18, but it happened. Scott was just 5 feet 6 inches tall before incredible changes after his 18th birthday. 

His height increased by 10 inches, and he now stands 6 feet 4 inches tall. Speaking about his height transformation, he confessed that if at the age of 13 or 14 he was with another club that was not as patient as Manchester United was with him, they would have gotten rid of him. 

Because of his small height, he struggled to make appearances between 2013 and 2015. 

He even missed the 2014-15 seasons due to growth-related issues and injuries but was nurtured and was treated nicely at Manchester United.

Scott always knew he would grow quite tall but not that much tall.

Scott has been thick-skinned to criticisms. According to him, ultimately, it is on him who knows what he has been doing behind closed doors, which is the best thing and is unfazed by people’s comments who can say what they feel.

He was stormily criticized for his midfield partnership with Fred after a 4-2 loss over Liverpool on the 13th of May under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. 

Irish football manager Roy Keane criticized them by saying that Manchester United will not be lifting big trophies as long as Scott and Fred are playing in the midfield. 

To Roy Keane’s comment, he replied by saying he is not getting affected or crying over the comment as everyone is entitled to an opinion. 

He further added he would look a fool if he went home worrying about what people thought of him. 

Amid criticisms, he was praised by former Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson for his capability. He believes he is capable of becoming the next great Scottish star at Old Trafford.

Scott has kept his personal life at a low key. It is not known if he is in a relationship or not, and also there are no rumors of him dating anyone.
