Rosa Schmidt

Rosa Schmidt is a businesswoman and influencer mainly famous as the girlfriend of Dutch professional footballer, Teun Koopmeiners, a midfielder for Serie A club Atlanta and the Netherlands national team. 

Rosa was born and raised in Alkmaar, Netherlands. 

She will soon graduate from Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences with a bachelor's degree in human resource management.

She met Teun while doing an internship at AZ

Rosa did her internship at AZ where she met Teun. They began dating in 2019 and have been inseparable since then. The couple is yet to get married.

The day Teun started dreaming of becoming a professional footballer

Born in Castricum, Netherlands, young Teun used to go to the stadium to watch games with his grandfather. 

His grandfather was a season ticket holder and he would always take him. The first time, Teun visited the stadium, he arrived early to watch the players warm up. 

He wanted to see everything that was going on. 

A beautiful free kick that went right into the top corner unleashed something within him to the point that he began daring to dream. 

He often told his grandfather about his desire to stand on the pitch one day as a professional footballer.

Teun started playing football at the U6 at his local club Vitesse'22. When he was 10 years old, he was approached by AZ Alkmaar for the first time. 

He started with the club's youth team. He also had several setbacks. 

He had a year where he didn't play as much as he wanted which was killing him inside but he kept working hard. 

His hard work paid off and he earned more playing time eventually making it to the club's reserve team Jong AZ where he became the champion of the Dutch third division in the 2016-17 season.

Teun made his first-team debut on the 1st of October, 2017 coming on as a substitute in a 4-0 home loss to Feyenoord. 

He describes his best moments as a senior member at the club to be his debut and scoring on his first start at the club. 

He scored one goal in his 26 League appearances in his first professional season.

He scored his first goal of the 2020-21 season in a 3-1 win over Viktoria Plzen in the UEFA Champions League qualifier.

Teun is hoping to leave Atalanta

Teun signed for Serie A club Atalanta as a summer transfer from AZ at the end of August 2021 and made his debut on the 11th of December coming as a late substitute for Matteo Pessina in the home match against Fiorentina. 

He stood out as a prolific midfielder at Atlanta. 

He scored a hat-trick in a 3-1 Serie A win over Torino in September 2022 and in May 2024, he started in the club's 3-0 win over Bayer Leverkusen in the 2024 UEFA Europa League Final. 

After his tremendous performance at Atlanta, he is now considering his move to bigger clubs. 

In an interview with The Telegraph, he revealed his desire to leave the club. He said that he has told the club that he wants to leave next summer. 

He also said that he and his girlfriend love life in Italy but for some clubs in England, he would be willing to tolerate the rain and hopes options arise that he can reflect on, also Atalanta receives a good sum because he had a wonderful time in Bergamo.
