Ronnie Shacklett is well known as the husband of the American singer Brenda Lee. 

Charles Ronald "Ronnie" Shacklett, aka Ronnie Shacklett, is an American citizen who was born in the 40s. 

He is the son of a Metropolitan councilman and Earl C. Shacklett. They resided at 314 Elberta St., Nashville. 

He married Brenda when he was about 18 years old. 

Charles is, till today, happily married to Brenda, and they are living in their home in Nashville, Tennessee.

Brenda Mae Tarpley, aka Brenda Lee, was born on 11th December 1944. 

She was born in a poor family to mother Annie Grace and father Ruben Lindsey Tarpley in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. 

She is one of the most successful singers in the Hollywood Music Industry. She first started her career and set a benchmark at the tender age of 7 years.

They would stand on the counter, and little Brenda would sing, earning herself some candies or coins.

RONNIE AND BRENDA’S MARRIED LIFE

Ronnie and Brenda first met in November 1962 at a Bo Diddley and Jackie Wilson concert which was held at Nashville’s Fairgrounds Coliseum. 

The couple got married after only six months on 24th April 1963. Brenda was only 18 years old when the two tied the knot. 

She got married at such a small-time interval at such a small age when she was at the peak of her career came as a shock to her fans and family. 

The pair’s wedding was held at Radnor Church of Christ. Ronnie’s family made it to the wedding, while Lee’s family opted not to be a part of the holy ceremony.

Shacklett and Lee have two daughters together. Their names are Jolie and Julie. They were named after Patsy Cline’s daughters.

WHEN RONNIE AND BRENDA ADOPTED A PUPPY

In 2012, Ronnie found a puppy in the middle of the road. He was saddened by how ugly and malnourished the pup looked. 

Thus, he brought him back to his home to his wife, Brenda. Lee later shared that they had just lost a dog and did not want to raise another one. 

However, looking at the puppy’s condition, she just could not hold herself back. They named her “Little Girl.”
