Robert Martensen

Robert Martensen was an American physician, historian, professor, and author. 

He is known as the father of Max Carver and Charlie Carver, who are the twin American actors, famous for their role in 'Desperate Housewives,' 'Teen Wolf,' and 'The Leftovers.'

Max Carver, an enthusiast in a diverse field

Robert's talented son, Max Carver, involved himself in multiple activities since his early days. During his adolescent period, he used to be active on sports such as hockey, soccer, and lacrosse.

 After completing his high school, Max continued studying and graduated from the University of Southern California in English. 

Along with studies, he also continued his passion for acting, directing, and writing. Apart from these, Max was also an enthusiast in humanities, journalism, and graphic design.

Interested in acting, Max started working in the entertainment industry after 2007 and got his first breakthrough in the TV series 'Desperate Housewives,' where he was seen with his twin brother. 

Both brothers again acted in MTV's TV series 'in season 3 and the first series of HBO series 'The Leftovers.'

 He also acted separately in series such as The Office, Good Luck Charlie, Best Friend Forever, etc. 

After the TV series, he also made his film debut as a lead role in 'Ask Me Anything.' Except acting, he also became producer and writer of the short movie 'Simularity' in 2017.

Robert's next twin son is Charlie Carver, who is just seven minutes older than his brother Max. 

Although they are twin brothers, they celebrate their birthday on a different day as Charlie was born before midnight on July 31, 1998.

 Charlie discovered his passion for acting since his young age and made his debut when he was in his eighth grade from his school production of Shakespeare's 'A Mid Summer Night's Dream.'

Charlie began his professional acting career when he was approached by a talent agent, Matthew Jackson of Robert Entertainment Partners. 

When that agent spotted Charlie, he was shopping in a shoe store in Santa Monica, California. Along with his brother, he made his first breakthrough debut in the TV series' Desperate Housewives'. 

Married a girl despite being gay

Long after Robert's death, he was exposed to being homosexual by his son, Charlie, who is also gay. 

As per Charlie, Robert was struggling and living with internalized shame. Due to the fear of being rejected by society, he hesitated to reveal himself. 

He instead lived a compromised life and got married to a girl, Anne Carver, despite being gay. 

However, their married life did not last for long, and got separated after some years. As Charlie does not want to be like his father, he pushed himself to uncover all these to live a free life.

Robert's wife, Anne Carver, is a philanthropist and community activist. Her hobby is helping people and make this world a more loving and inclusive place to live on. 

 After he split from his wife, she took the responsibility of their children and nourished them. She took them to Caliskoga of California's Nepa Valley and lived there in 90 years old Palisades Vineyard.

However, Anne decided to go for it and organized her second wedding function with Dennis Sutra. 

Dennis is a lawyer, Vineyard owner, and public official belonging to Napa Valley, California.

Robert died on August 26, 2013, in Pasadena, in the state of California, US. He was 66 years of age when he took his last breath.
