Robert married his wife, Kelly Brown, a long time back and are still together. The British couple relocated to Spain and ran a restaurant to make ends meet.

The Hollywood talent scout commented on Millie’s talent where they said of her having an instinct that Robert and Kelly cannot teach and further said that she could mix it with the best kids in Hollywood. 

Having heard such praises from them made them move to Los Angeles and did not think twice to sell everything they had. 

They were on the verge of bankruptcy and suffered a financial crisis before Millie landed a big role. 

Because they were tight with money, Robert barely could afford to get Millie to auditions and would put a condition to take her to auditions only if she memorized all her lines.

She had to cut off her hair for her role, and Robert and Kelly were not convinced initially, but Millie finally succeeded in convincing them, telling 

“Dude, it grows back. It’s Fine.”

He was in the headline for demanding money from agents

In 2016, Robert came into highlight after demanding money from agents to sign then 12-year-old daughter. 

After his daughter’s break-out role in Stranger Things, interests from agencies piled up to sign her. 

With her increasing demand, the news of him demanding an amount of up to $100,000 for signing his daughter came out. 

According to The Hollywood Reporter, sources at five different agencies said that Robert, who goes by Bobby, made a conversation asking for a sizeable cash payment for signing Millie, out of which two sources revealed the amount fee to be $100,000.

He and his wife were criticized for using their daughter for money

Hunter Echo confronted to grooming Millie during his Instagram live session in July 2021. He further went on describing his alleged sexual encounters with Millie. 

Above that, he made a shocking revelation announcing Millie’s parents allowed him to live with Millie for eight months. 

Soon after, fans reacted, questioning them for letting their then 16-year-old daughter stay with then 20 year old for eight months. 

They were also criticized for neglecting their daughter and using her for money. However, the Brown family did not comment on the matter though Millie’s camp threatened Hunter to take legal action against him. 

Hunter apologized for his offensive comments via his TikTok video, which he later deleted. 

In his video, he had said not being proud of what he spoke, which sounded very immature and horrible. 

He also apologized for doing a live stream and said it looked horrible on his family, he, and his friends.
