Rider Gabriel Shevchenko

Rider Gabriel Shevchenko is the son of a Ukrainian football manager, Andriy Shevchenko, and Kristen Pazik.  

He was born on 6 April 2014. His father is a former professional football player and a former politician, whereas his mother is a model. 

He has three older siblings.

Unfortunately, he was momentarily relocated from the city with his sport group due to the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant accident. 

He also competed in the LLWI Ukrainian Junior League as a boxer in his childhood, but his interest shifted to football after some time.

Andriy's unsupportive parents

Initially, his mother and father didn't allow him to play football because he had to travel across town to train at the academy. 

They were strictly against his hobby. They wanted their son to graduate from school and become a military man. 

Fortunately, Shpakov convinced his mother and father to let him pursue his career in football. 

In the 1990 Ian Rush Cup friendly tournament, he was the youngest member of the group.

Life beside football

The famous fashion designer Giorgio Armani is a close friend of Andri. 

He also has done modeling for Armani and opened two boutiques with him in Kyiv. 

He was also an ambassador for the SOS children's Villages charity in June 2005. He also has a foundation that supports orphaned children.

About his mother

Kristen Pazik was born on 11 August 1978. She is of Polish descent. 

She is a catholic, but her husband is Ukrainian Orthodox. Her father was the former professional baseball player Mike Pazik. 

There is not much information about her on the internet because she prefers to stay low-key.   

She also has started an e-commerce website called Ikkon.com, which is entirely for men's fashion and lifestyle.

Blessed with four children.

The Shevchenko couple communicates in Italian with each other because Giorgio couldn't speak English. 

But Andriy has revealed his desire to learn English, and they want their children to learn Ukrainian. 

They have four sons. The firstborn is Jordan, and he was born on 29 October 2004. 

On 10 November 2006, the couple was blessed with a second son and named him Christian Shevchenko.  

Alexander was born on 1 October 2012, and the youngest one, Rider Gabriel, was born on 6 April 2014. 

The godfather of Jordan is Silvio Berlusconi, known as the owner of the Milan club till 2017 and former prime minister of Italy. 

His father scored in a 4–0 Chelsea victory over Watford the day after the birth of Kristian. 

After that, he and several of his teammates gathered and did the traditional "rock-the-baby" goal celebration as a tribute.

How did his parents meet?

Rider Gabriel's parents met at a Giorgio Armani afterparty in 2002. They fell for each other after that party. 

On 14 July 2004, they got married. It was a private ceremony on a golf course in Washington D.C.
