Joy Taylor, an ex-wife of Richard Giannotti, talks about her journey in the interview with ‘Black Inspirational Spotlight.’ 

When being asked about her journey by the host, she mentioned her first work was as RJ in a Sports Radio in Miami. 

She worked there for several years and also continued with an internship and job. She worked in Fox Sports Radio, later worked in ‘Undisputed,’ and ended up being the co-host on FS1 named ‘Herd.’

When the host asked her about her childhood, she explained how she grew up being an athlete and always had a passion for running track when she was 8-10 years old. 

She has involved herself in basketball, volleyball, and soccer since she was in 6th or 7th grade. 

She candidly talked about Pittsburg and their passion for sports. Talking about the athlete she looked up to, she mentioned that she loves ‘Flow-Jo,’ ‘Junior Seau,’ Michael Jordan, and Mohammad Ali. 

She was starstruck and even cried when she first met Junior Seau. She further candidly talked about her bucket list and shared her views on space science.

Talking about her passion with the host, she shared that she took Psychology major for her first year and wanted to work in the asylum being influenced by Hale Berry in her movie “Gothika”  but after knowing that it would take her around 12 years she dropped her idea on being one. 

When asked about her influences in sports media, she replied she looked up to Robin Roberts, Al Michael, and Oprah.

 Out of curiosity, the host asked her about her view in black people in media, to which she replied she prefers diverse staff and supports them. 

She advised the upcoming generation who want to be in this stream to be updated and upfront and precise about the field and faculty they want to work.

Married, Wife, Wedding

Richard met his wife, Joy Taylor, a sports news personality whom he met at a conference. The couple started dating each other in 2014. 

Joy thought of taking this to the next level and proposed Richard after a year in 2015. 

The loving duo got married on 13th February 2016, a day before Valentine’s day. 

The wedding ceremony took place at the Biltmore Luxury Hotel in Miami with a five-storeyed white cake. 

Although the ceremony was private between the two families it was no less than a fairytale.
