Ricardo Rodriguez is a Swiss professional footballer. He plays as a left-back for Serie A club Torino, and he also plays in the Switzerland national team. He was born and raised in Switzerland. His nationality is Swiss.

He first started his playing in 2001 when he was just nine years old. He started his senior year in the year 2010.

He then started his senior year in 2010 with the same team Zurich. He then moved to VfL Wolfsburg in 2012 and left in 2017 and started playing for Milan in 2017. 

He left Milan in 2020 and started playing in PSV as a loan in the same year. He then joined the team Torino in 2020 and still plays with the same team.

He first started to play for national teams in 2009. He played for Switzerland U17 till 2010. In the same year, he also played for the team Switzerland U18. 

Then in 2010, he played for Switzerland U19 till 2011. In 2011 he joined Switzerland U23 and started playing for the Switzerland national team in 2011 as well.

Ricardo has won the FIFA U17 World Cup held in the year 2009. He has won a total of eighty caps for his country. 

He was also part of the Swiss team at the Olympics held in 2012, and he was also part of the FIFA World Cup held in 2014. 

He also participated in UEFA Euro held in 2016 and also the 2018 FIFA World Cup. He was voted the Swiss Footballer of the Year in the year 2014.
