Ray Jr. is the eldest son of the late legendary singer and musician Ray Charles. He was born on 25th May 1955

He was born to his father, Ray, and Della B. Robinson. His parents were together from 1955 to 1977 only. 

Ray Jr. is also an independent film producer; before, he was the co-executive producer of his late father, Ray Charles: fifty years of music and Co-Producer of a movie called Ray (2004). 

He is currently living with his girlfriend, Rhonda Bailey, in Los Angeles
