Rachael and Alan Komissaroff were high school sweethearts. 

They married on the 29th of July, 2002, and were together until his ultimate demise on the 20th of January, 2023. 

On the 8th of January, 2023, her husband was doing exercise in their home. Rachael dialed 911 after her husband informed her that he was not feeling well.

Alan was taken to the hospital, but his heart stopped, which led him to fall into a coma. He never regained consciousness. He was 47 years old.

There was no steadier or more trusted colleague to be within the control room during the most consequential events of their time, and his incisiveness and passion for news made their work better, they wrote.

Besides that, the anchor of the Special Report, Bret Baier, told Viewers that Alan had been a crucial leader in their coverage of every major news and every election night. 

He was a happy warrior, a true professional who always thought outside the box, he added.
