Philip Agassi

Philip Agassi is famous for being an older sibling to an American retired professional tennis player and former world no.1, Andre Agassi. Andre is an eight-time Grand Slam Champion and a 1996 Olympic gold medalist. 

He is one of the only five players in history to have won all four majors.

Married to a Jewelry designer

Philip is happily married to his wife Marti Agassi, a Jewelry designer. The exact date of marriage is unknown, but they are still together and are in marital bliss. 

Marti also donates a percentage of her sales to the Andre Agassi Foundation.

Father to a daughter

His younger sister Tami was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 31. Philip, along with his younger brother, shaved her hair when she started chemotherapy. 

Just six months later, his mother Elizabeth Agassi was diagnosed with the same disease. With the grace of God, both of them survived and are helping other women who are going through the same disease.

Warned his brother several times not to take pills provided by their father

Andre, in his autobiography, revealed that his father, Mike, a former Olympic boxer, used to give him illegal amphetamines before playing, and he used to take them. 

His elder brother Philip warned him several times not to take pills provided by their father because he knew that the pills were not simply caffeine but speed. 

He also asked Andre to promise that he was not going to take any pills from his father. He was tested positive for methamphetamine in 1997. Andre described his father to be violent. 

Tennis was not what he wanted from an early age, but it was something he was forced upon him by his father. He was tortured and lived in fear his whole life.

He worked as a full-time travel partner

He was also taught to play tennis by his father, but he did not go professional. According to his father, Mike, he wanted his three children, Rita Agassi, Philip, and Andre, to be great Tennis players. 

His eldest daughter Rita was a strong player. Philip was a good player but got discouraged by his sister Rita. Tami Agassi preferred to study.  Philip later became the full-time travel partner of Andre. 

Andre is in marital bliss with his second wife

After failing his first marriage to model and actress Brooke Shields, Andre married fellow tennis star Steffi Graf in 2001. They were in a romantic relationship since 1999. 

The couple shares a son Jaden Gil Agassi and a daughter Jaz Elle Agassi born in 2001 and 2003. Andre and Steffi are together for more than two decades and are living a blissful life.
