His mother (Heather Nauert), who has served as Spokesperson for the United States department of state from the year 2017 to 2019, has withdrawn her name from consideration to become the United States Ambassador to United Nations. 

However, she was never nominated formally. But President Donald Trump, on December 6, 2018, announced about her selection despite that she withdrew her name for all the right reasons.

While doing paperwork and proceedings, his mother (Heather Nauert) mentioned, she has given work to a nanny in her house who has lacked a proper work visa but living in a country legally. 

She thought that this would cause an unnecessary problem, so thinking of her family, she withdrew her name from it. 

Also, she did not pay taxes on time, as per some sources.
