Paul Shaw

Paul Shaw is the father of English football player Luke Shaw. He is married to Joanna Shaw. Luke plays as a left-back for premier league club Manchester United and the England national team. 

Luke was born in Kingston upon Thames, London. They are also parents to Ben Shaw and Joanna Shaw. Paul and Joanna raised their children in Surrey.

So when Luke got injured while playing, Paul and Joanna, who was in the audience at the game in Eindhoven, immediately left the Philips Stadion to be with their son.

Luke didn't have a driving license

Though Luke is the world's fourth most expensive defender, who charges around 100,000 euros per week, he still does not own a flashy car. 

It is not because he couldn't afford one, but he hadn't passed his driving test. Back then, when he joined United, he was only 18 years old, and he was still living with his parents. 

So, every time he wanted to go somewhere, Paul and Joanna would drive him there. They also used to drive him to his training and to play matches very often. This is the story before he went for the 2014 world cup. 

When his world cup commitments got over in 2014, he took a weeklong intensive driving course. After putting in a huge effort, he was finally able to obtain his license.

Chelsea's fan 

Luke was a big Chelsea fan, it inspired him to be a football player. Luke grew up as a Chelsea fan, and he said that he wanted to play for the London club. 

Not only he wanted to play, but the eight years old Luke also tried to get into their academy. He played at Chelsea's development center in Guildford, but he couldn't get into the academy. 

Despite the disappointment, Luke was eager to play football. He started to work hard for his dreams from an early age. 

In 2001, Luke joined Hersham, and later, he was referred to Juniors in a bid to improve himself for bigger football academics.

Fortunately, Southampton called him in 2003. Luke played for the club for 11 years, and then he joined Manchester United in 2014.  

When Luke was hired, he was the most expensive teenager purchased by the club, and the rest is history.
