Oivind Solskjaer

Oivind Solskjaer is the father of a Norwegian professional football manager and a former player named Ole Gunnar. Oivind used to be a Greco-Roman wrestling champion. The athlete gene runs in the family.

Ole even went for wrestling training for some time. But as he was training, he realized that this was not for him as he was too weak and small for that. 

He used to be tossed around all the time and was not doing good. He was even bullied and teased by other children there in training. 

There he got many nicknames such as Small Ole and others. He soon left wrestling and joined a different form of sports, and that is football, in which he gained his success and fame.

Not Noah's favorite

Ole has admitted that he is not his son Noah's favorite football player, but instead, his former teammate Wayne Rooney is his son's favorite football player, and his son considers Michael Carrick as his inspiration again, not his father.

Ole is considered very loyal towards his team Manchester United as when his career was at its peak, he got many offers from many other big teams along with much greater pay, but he declined all of those even when he was a substitute player for the team. 

He has always stayed beside his team as loyal as possible.
