Health issues before success

Before being the successful athlete he is today and even before starting his career as a track and field athlete, he was suffering from depression and also from asthma. 

He eventually grew out of depression. He used to be chained to a breathing machine when he was in middle school because of the severity of asthma. 

It was hard for him and his family at the time. His family always motivated and supported him, and he never gave up hope as well. His condition started to get better with time, and he pursued his dream.

Family man

Noah is very close to his family. His parents are Keisha Caine and Kevin Lyles; they used to compete in track and field at Seton Hall University

Keisha is a nine-time All-American and a two-time NCAA champion, and Kevin won the gold medal for the country in the 400m relay at the 1993 summer Universiade. 

They have always supported their son’s dream and always provided him with everything he needed. However, they are no longer together. 

He also has a brother named Josephus Lyles, a field and track athlete who is the 2014 junior world champion on the 400m relay and competing for the 200m and the 400m competitions internationally.
