Nikki van Esch - Meet Girlfriend Of Wout Weghorst

Nikki van Esch is the stunning girlfriend of Dutch striker Wout Weghorst who plays for EFL Championship club Burnley and the Netherlands national team.

Nikki is also from the Netherlands. 

She graduated from Saxion University of Applied Science in 2013 with a bachelor's degree in Textile and management.

She ignored Wout for two months before accepting his proposal

Nikki and Wout have been together since their high school days. The lovely duo have been together for more than a decade now. They are yet to get married.

During an interview with Helden Magazine back in 2017, Wout said the spark flew at Havo (higher general continued education in Dutch). 

He also revealed that Nikki completely ignored him for the first two months leaving him disappointed because he was madly in love with her. 

"She didn't feel that immediately or she didn't want to give in to that feeling", he said. 

Eventually, they started dating but after a year they broke up for a while before getting back together. 

Things worked out again when he moved to Willem II in 2011 and are together since then. 

Wout also said that because of his parent's divorce, he is determined to do the right things with his family.

Mother of three beautiful daughters

She is the mother of her three beautiful daughters whom she shares with her partner Wout. 

Their first daughter Juul was born in 2018 followed by second daughter Lucie Marie in 2020 and third daughter Suze Marie in 2022.

When their second daughter was born, Wout got to spend more time at home with his daughters because of the pandemic. 

Wout said he gets asked a lot of questions if he is proud of his skills on the pitch or maybe the 100 goals he would make in his career but his daughters are the ones he is extremely proud of which according to him is the most special and important thing. 

Before it was all about football and it was everything, all day long from nine to six in the evening, in the club training but with the arrival of their daughters, there has been much more important than football and he has to find a bit of balance with that and overall it makes him the happy man he is now, he told Bundesliga.com.

Nikki and Wout were in shock after knowing Manchester United was interested in him

After having signed a three-and-a-half-year contract with English Premier League club Burnley at the end of January 2022, Wout made his debut for the club in February in a match against Watford. 

He was then loaned out to Super Lig club Besiktas in July until the end of the 2022-23 season but his loan was cancelled in January after which he joined Manchester United for the rest of the season.

During an interview, Wout revealed that he and Nikki were a bit shocked after knowing that Manchester United was interested in signing him on loan following the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo. 

He said he was together with his girl (Nikki) when the agent called him for the first time recalling that she was a little bit shocked when she saw his face where he was like "oof".

Wout scored his first goal for Manchester United on the 25th of January in a 3-0 victory over Nottingham Forest in the EFL Cup semi-final first-league and in February, he played in the 2023 EFL Cup final and assisted Marcus Rashford in their 2-0 win over Newcastle United. 

Wout joined TSG Hoffenheim on a season loan in August 2023.
