Nell Johnson, a beautician by profession, is famous for her multi-talented son Don Johnson, an American actor, director, producer, singer, and songwriter.

Don's role on 'Miami Vice" was a turning point in his career 

Johnson starred in four failed television pilots before landing his career-high role of James "Sonny Crockett" on the highly successful series "Miami Vice" in 1984. 

Four-time Oscar directs the series nominated director, producer, and writer Michael Mann. 

After been featured in Miami Vice, his role propelled him to a super successful career with a Golden Globe Award along with piles of offers.

Married to her husband, Wayne Fred Johnson 

Nell got married to her husband Wayne Fred Johnson, who was a farmer by profession. Both of them were teenagers when they exchanged wedding vows. 

They lived in Flat Creek, Barry, in the state of Missouri, United States. Her husband was just 19 when they welcomed their first son.

After her divorce, she moved to Wichita, Kansas 

Their married life could not last long; they got divorced after 11 years of their marriage. Don was just 12 years old when they got divorced. 

She moved to Wichita, along with Don, after her divorce. Nell had Cancer, and in 1975, at the age of just 42, she passed away.

Don shared good relation with his father 

Don shared a good relationship with his father, Wayne. He shared his picture with his father in his twitter and Instagram with the caption 

"love you, dad." 

He used to spend quality time with his father and post their pictures together via Instagram.  

Wayne, who contributed to the birth of one of the most iconic stars, is no more in this world.
