Neli Lucescu

Neli Lucescu is the beautiful spouse of one of the most celebrated managers, Mircea Lucescu. 

Mircea is the current manager of the Ukrainian Premier League club Dynamo Kyiv. He is a retired player.

She was with Mirceau since the beginning of his career, followed him everywhere in his journey, and is still with him as a rock.

Neli and Mircea are the proud parents of their only son, Razvan Lucescu, a manager and a former player currently in charge of Greek Club PAOK. 

He used to attend every home match of his father alongside his mother. His image would be all related to football, and he always looked forward to going to the stadium, going to the training with his father, getting the real ball, and getting noticed by the players. 

Neli spent most of her time with Razvan because her husband was mostly out because of his burgeoning career. But when Razon started growing up, his father started taking him along with him to participate in the training in the training camps. 

A complete football environment while growing up developed a passion in him for football which later became his career. 

As a son, he was incredibly close to his father and was there with him in his highs and lows. All those experiences with his father helped him in his career. His father instilled in him the value of hardships, dedication, and respect for others.

A mother’s love is eternal

A mother’s love is eternal wherever life takes it. The care and love are never-ending, and even if their children are full-grown up and mature, they will see them as young kids. 

Neli, even these days, is very caring and protective of her son and his family. She continues to check the weather at her son’s place and calls him to inform him what the weather would be like. 

She asks them to wear warm clothes if she finds that there will be rainfall in his place. She is always concerned about what they eat or ate. Neli spent most of her time with Razvan because her husband was mostly out because of his career.

She was caught in an earthquake with her son

Neli, along with her son Razvan was caught in the 1997 earthquake when they were out for a movie at Scala Cinema. 

She was stuck in the chair and did not come out. They walked out of the Cinema at last and found out three blocks had fallen in the area. 

If they had come out earlier, then anything could have happened. They luckily managed to go home safely. 

The earthquake also damaged their apartment, which caused the large piece of wall to fall on the bed where her son Razvan used to sleep. Her family could not sleep in their block for ten months.

A mom, grand-mom and a great-grand mom

Neli is not only a mom but also a grand-mom and a great-grand mom. Razvan is married to his wife Ana Maria Lucescu, with whom he shares two children, son Matei and daughter Maria-Luiza. 

Neli is the great-grandmom of her great-granddaughter Zoe, born to her grandson Matei. 

Net worth

More than five decades of football career with uncountable awards and accolades, her spouse, Mircea, has achieved a milestone in his career. 

He proved to be the most successful coach during his twelve-year stint at Shakhtar Donetsk, winning eight Ukrainian Premier League Titles, six Ukrainian and Seven Ukrainian Super Cups, along with UEFA Cup in the 2008-09 season.
