Naim Sliti is a professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for Al-Ettifaq.
He was born in France to Tunisian parents and plays for Tunisia national team.
His career so far
After his youth career with Marseille, Sliti had his professional debut with CS Sedan.
He spent two years at the club, where he made 53 appearances between Sedan A and Sedan B and scored thrice.
He then joined Paris FC and played a season where he scored nine times in 18 appearances. He joined Red Star in 2014.
While at Red Star, he was loaned out to Lille before he signed a permanent contract with the club in 2017.
He played for Dijon on loan from Lille and later joined Dijon, where he spent a season before moving to Al-Ettifaq in 2019.
He made his international debut for the Tunisia national team in a 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualification, where he scored his debut goal in a 3-0 win over Djibouti.

Sliti will be representing Tunisia national team in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar for the second time.
Playing in World Cup is a dream come true for Sliti, as he says he has dreamt of playing football at the World Cup ever since he started playing football.
According to him, he started playing football just after the 1988 World Cup after France won with Zinedine Zidane’s two goals in the final.
That’s what pushed him to take up the game.
Sliti expressed saying that it’s a great honor for him to play for Tunisia, that he gives his all at every opportunity to wear the jersey of the eagles of Carthage, and that he will play at the world cup for a whole people.

His parents are the biggest influence in his career and have been supporting him throughout his football journey.
He says he only can thank them for everything they have done for him.
Besides that, he had coaches, especially at Sedan, who urged him to play the game at the highest level before he turned professional.
He chose Saudi League over La Liga for religious reasons
Sliti, in an interview, revealed that he rejected the offer from La Liga side RCD Mallorca before joining Saudi side Al-Ettifaq.
He said he turned down an offer from Real Mallorca as he preferred to be near the holy Kaaba and raise his children in accordance with the teaching of Islam.

Sliti has kept his personal life low-key, but it is known that he is married and has children, as he sometimes mentions his wife and children in interviews.
