About her father, Todd

Todd was born on November 24, 1968, in Flint, Michigan, United States, to his father, David Beamer, and his mother, Peggy Jackson Beamer

He was a passenger of United Airlines Flight 93, which was hijacked and crashed on September 11, 2001

Todd died in the same plane crash. He was an amateur baseball player.

Todd’s father, David, speaks on his son's remembrance.

Looking towards Todd’s wristwatch, David said he was on the west coast and didn’t realize what had happened until that afternoon.

He said he had no idea that his son Todd was on an airplane. He thought he was in Italy

He said we kind of define our history now, don’t we, as pre-9/11 and post-9/11?

He said well, here are some bits of a wristwatch (Todd's Wristwatch), and its function was supposed to tell time, and it was a good watch.

It did its job very well. He said it doesn’t tell what time it is anymore, but what it does tell is what time it was, and it says it’s the 11th.

Todd’s debut for the United States

Todd had gone to the airport to catch United Airlines 93 for a day trip to San Francisco

The plane he was traveling through was hijacked by four men with red bandanas tied around their heads. They killed the pilot and co-pilot.

They had a bomb on board, and they made the five flight attendants and 33 passengers move to the back of the airplane so they’d be out of the way.

While staying back, the passengers were able to talk with their families.

Although having such a chance, Todd didn’t call his wife because she was pregnant at that time.

Todd then called Zero on the phone, and it got connected to a telephone switchboard operator, Lisa Jefferson

Todd explained everything that happened there to her within thirteen minutes.

After then, Todd motivated the other passengers, and all of them fought against the terrorist and stopped the mission of terrorists to destroy a target in Washington DC, which was The White House.

Although their mission got aborted, the plane crashed in a field in Somerset County, Pennsylvania, killing all the passengers.

In the respective field, the rescue crew found a wristwatch of Todd, which is currently kept at the National 911 memorial museum
