He reached the middle of the desert, and suddenly, a rattlesnake bit his ankles. When he watched his foot, it was getting bigger, so he took out his shoes.
There was no cell phone service there, so his team drove the van holding the cell phone in the air. Then after getting a signal, they called 911.
Luckily Mod got airlifted in a helicopter and was taken to the hospital.
