Michal Probierz is a professional football manager and former football player. He currently is the head coach of the Poland national football team. 

He started his playing career in 1983 and hung his boot in 2005. He used to play as a midfielder.

According to sources, Michal Probierz is a divorcee. 

He was married to his wife, whose information has not been revealed yet, and became parents to two children, both sons. 

Their children are all grown up now. Michal is also a grandfather. He has an adorable granddaughter whom they named Aurelia.

Moved on with life

After the divorce from his wife, he found love once again. He is currently dating a woman named Marta. 

He revealed in an interview that they met each other in a restaurant. 

He said Marta and him had the opportunity to eat at the same restaurant and on the same day they bumped into each other three times but didn’t exchange a word. 

The next time they met he asked her out, and then they started dating. He said that they are together but they are very opposite of each other. 

It seems like he doesn’t have any problem with his girlfriend being opposite to him as he said that others' points of view do not have to be an obstacle to fit together like halved of an apple. 

Michal and Marta welcomed a child together. They gave birth to a son whom they named Henryk. 

After being appointed as the coach of the national team, Michal has been able to spend more time with his family. 

He said in an interview that his job as a coach has helped him a lot as he has more free time and can devote more time to his child. 

His career

Michal spent 22 years as a player. He started his playing career with LKS Lagiewniki youth team in 1983 and played with the club for a year. 

He then joined the youth team of Rozbark Bytom in 1984 and played with the team until 1987. 

He played for the youth team of Gwarek Zabrze from 1987 to 1989. He started his senior career with Ruch Chorzow in 1990 and played with the club until 1993. 

He then played for Bayer Uerdingen from 1993 to 1995, SG Wattenscheid 09 from 1995 to 1997, Gwarek Zabrze from 1997 to 2004, Pogon Szczecin in 2004, and Widzew Lodz from 2004 to 2005. 

He also played internationally with the Poland U19 and Poland U21. 

He started his managerial career in 2005 with Polonia Bytom. 

He then managed Widzew Lodz, Jagiellonia Bialystok, LKS Lodz, Aris Thessaloniki, Wisla Krakow, GKS Belchatow, Lechia Gdansk, Cracovia, Bruk-Bet Termalica, and Poland U21. 

He took charge of the Poland national football team in 2023. 

Some of his achievements as a manager are that he won the Polish Cup and the Polish Super Cup with Jagiellonia Bialystok in 2010 and with Cracovia in 2020.

Michal led Poland to Euro 2024

Michal has been the head coach of the Poland national football team since September 2023, replacing Fernando Santos. 

Fernando was dismissed after Poland lost to the Czech Republic, Moldova, and Albania. 

After Michal took over, he led Poland to win against the Faroe Islands and a draw against Moldova. 

They then ended the match against the Czech Republic in a draw which made people doubt if Poland would even be able to secure a place in the Euro. 

But they were again able to win against Estonia by 5-1. 

Poland then secured their place in UEFA Euro 2024 on March 26, 2024, after defeating Wales by 5-4 on penalties. 

Poland will play a match against the Netherlands on June 6, 2024, Austria on June 21, 2024, and France on June 25, 2024, in Group D.
