Maxine Simpson is the mother of Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, who is a Jamaican track and field sprinter.  

Her husband's name is Orane Fraser. Maxine has one daughter and two sons with Orane. Maxine was a former athlete who worked as a street vendor. She is Jamaican by her nationality. 

Shelly-Ann tested positive while doping?

In 2010 June, a doping test was going on, and athletics were being tested for the league. In this process, Shelly-Ann was also tested. 

She was shown negative in all the tests, but her urine sample was tested positive for the chemical named Oxycodone. 

Consumption of Oxycodone and many other chemicals that may or may not help in performance are banned. 

For the same reason, she was banned from performing in the league. 

Later after she explained her medicine that contained the chemical and was suggested by her coach, she was back to the game and then started performing.

Did Shelly-Ann suffer from a crucial injury?

During the starting of the 2016 season, Shelly-Ann got injured. She was injured in her left toe. 

Because of her injury, she had to take a rest and not perform further matches. She took a break for a while and avoided anything that can increase the risk of damaging her toe. 

She canceled all her plans for her benefit. But she quickly recovered and started coming back to track again.    

Why did Shelly-Ann come back after her motherhood?

Shelly-Ann was pregnant in 2017 and was resting for the same reason. In the same year was the World Championships, which she won in the previous year.

She was not in a condition to compete as she was pregnant, and it would be risky for her and her child. 

She gave birth to her first child. She was operated on with an emergency C-section.  

She hence thought of retiring from her career as she was restricted to do heavy physical exercise. 

But later, after ten weeks of her giving birth, she came back for the training and started working on herself. She then got back on her track slowly.

Shelly-Ann Fraser had a long-time boyfriend, Jason Pryce, with whom she got married in 2011. Their wedding was held at The Tryall Club in Hanover. 

She then took her husband's name and became Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce from Shelly-Ann Fraser after their marriage. They first met at their common friend's home. 

There they didn't talk too much but were just introduced. They again met in the university where Shelly was a student. 

Both of them trained together. They then started talking to each other and started dating soon.  

Jason Pryce has always been an understanding person and has always supported Shelly. She gives a lot of credit to her husband for her success. 

They have always been a happy couple. On 7th August 2017, they gave birth to their first child and named him Zyon.
