Matthew Kerr

Matthew Kerr is the son of Steve Kerr. He is the youngest child of Steve. Matthew professionally serves as a writing assistant on the show titled “Ted Lasso.” 

Steve, real name Stephen Douglas Kerr, works as a basketball coach and a former player. He is the head coach of the Golden State Warriors of the NBA.

Matthew’s parents met on a blind date?

Matthew was born to mom Margot Brennan and dad Steve. Beginning from the top, Margot originally comes from Tucson, Arizona. 

She was raised along with three siblings named Rachel, Chris, and Geoff. She attended Catholic high school and then went to the University of Arizona.

Steve Kerr’s basketball legacy began with tragedy

Steve Kerr was at the University of Arizona, and he received horrific news on January 18, 1984. 

His dad, Malcolm Kerr, was murdered by the members of Islamic Jihad. After mourning, he used this tragedy as a source of motivation. 

One of his teammates stated that they call him Ice. Back in 1988, fans passed out harsh comments against him. 

However, he replied by hitting six 3-pointers in the first half, leading the team to a victory.
