Mark Arigho

Mark Arigho is famous as a husband of an Irish TV presenter and radio host, Laura Woods. Mark is an architect. 

He graduated from both Canterbury School of Architecture and University College Dublin. 

He is the director at ALWA, which stands for Arigho Larmour Wheeler Architects, an award-winning RIAI and RIBA chartered architectural office in Dublin and Belfast that provides architectural services. 

Arigho established ALWA along with Jane Larmour and Patrick Wheeler.

Mark met Laura on a blind date in Dublin set up by their mutual friend. According to Laura, she and her friend set each other up for the blind dates. 

She scrolled through her phone, and as his name is Arigho, it came first, and she said that he was perfect for her. 

Then, they went to Dakota in the evening, and Laura walked in where she found a group of guys and one guy on his own.

She went towards that one guy on his own and said she hoped he was his date; otherwise, he brought his four friends, and she was right. 

It was Mark. After meeting in Dakota, they went on a blind date on the Port House Tapas bar, but Laura ended up feeling disgusted at last when he didn’t utter a single Spanish word as she thought he would impress her by his Spanish being a half-Spanish. 

On their second date, Laura asked him to join him to collect her new puppy. Two years later, they got engaged. 

They exchanged their wedding vows in a lavish ceremony in 2009. The ceremony took place in Slane Castle, surrounded by their loved ones. 

Laura’s wedding gown was designed by designer Kathy de Stafford.

Father of his two sons 

Mark and Laura are the parents of their two sons, Ben, 10, and Alex, 7.  

Laura feels lucky that her line of work allows her to pursue her career while also spending time with her family. 

In 2015, Laura, in an interview, stated that having small children no matter what job you do is hectic and was still trying to figure out the balance between career and motherhood. 

The luxury of doing the job she loved also allowed her to spend a lot of time with her children. 

She would not have got that luxury if she was working 9 to 5 job five days a week.

On their 12th anniversary, Laura shared the beautiful picture of her with her husband Mark with a caption that said there had been a lot of changes lately, but thankfully her husband has stayed the same. 

She also shared that for their 12th anniversary, they were going out for the night, leaving their family with dominos, a movie, and a babysitter. 

Mark’s gift for his spouse was something hilarious, and it was an eye mask with a subtle message “Just Two mother f***ing minutes of peace.” 

Laura shared her gift writing “possibly my favorite gift from him” with a laughing-out-loud emoji.

He became a hairdresser of his wife

There is no doubt in saying that Mark is the perfect husband material. He became a hairdresser of his wife due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic lockdown. 

With hairdressers remaining closed, Laura had her hair chopped from her husband Mark as it was a case of needs must. 

She even shared the snap of Mark chopping her hair out. She also confessed to getting reminded of not letting him cut the hair of their dogs during the last lockdown. 

She told him to just cut in the straight line as he does with wrapping paper. She also mentioned @irelandamvmtv informing that if she wears the hat the next day, they will know the reason. 

But she did not have to, which means Mark did a good job.
