Mario is the inspiration behind Lautaro’s football career

Growing up, Lautaro looked up to his father and accompanied him to matches.

Lautaro, in an interview, said he not only lived in Bahia but also in Punta Alta and Olavarria because they followed his old man (his father) with his mother and two brothers.

His father was a great player for him and saw him score many goals while in charge of free kicks and penalties, but he could not make it to the top since he had no chance and was stuck at National B

According to him, his father is his role model for him. From the very beginning, if Lautaro needed any advice, he would seek out his father out.

His father would explain everything to him with humility.

He still remembers his father’s words. His father said without respect and sacrifice no one could play football.

Lautaro almost considered giving up football, but why?

There was a time when Lautaro almost considered giving up football because of homesickness.

When Lautaro joined the Racing club back in 2014, he missed his home so badly that he wanted to give up and return to his hometown Bahia

He said it was hard for him to stay far from his family, especially from his beloved brother, who was suffering from epilepsy.
