Marilisa Maronesse is a former model who is best recognized as a spouse of Puerto Rican Latin Pop singer and actor Elmer Figueroa Arce, better known by his stage name, Chayanne.

Marilisa and Chayanne are the proud parents of their two beautiful children, a son Lorenzo Valentino, and Isadora Sofia Figueroa. 

Lorenzo, their eldest child, was born in August 1997. Their second child was born in December 2000. 

Lorenzo graduated in finance from the Florida University College of Business in 2020, while Isadora graduated from the University of Miami in December last year. 

She is on her way to follow her father’s footsteps. She is a member of the Café con Leche group. 

Chayanne, in an interview, said that he is happy that his daughter is in music and passionate about it.

Her husband’s career journey

Chayanne was born to his parents, Figueroa Arce, a sales manager, and Irma Luz Arce, a teacher on the small Island of Puerto Rico. 

He is the third child of his parent’s five children. 

During an interview with Billboard, Chayanne said the music group called Encuentro came to his home looking for his sister, and they discovered him. 

They created a band of four members with the Beatles image as a reference format. 

Due to some political reasons, the name Encuentro was changed to Los Chicos. He was almost 11 at the time when he recorded his first album. 

They then started making TV shows until they had their own TV show every Saturday. 

At a very young age, he was traveling all over Venezuela, Panama, Central America, etc, doing stadium shows and felt the stage watching people's reactions. 

They were doing the shows until they decided to break due to legal situations that came up after. 

He was 14 and a half, but he wanted to continue music, and luckily he was surrounded by supportive people. 

Angelo Medina, who used to be the road manager for the Los Chicos and who used to travel with him when he was 11, 12, and 13 years old, told him to work together with him, and together they worked. 

They had a powerful company in Mexico called “Ariola” that had popular artists like Jose Jose, Juan Gabriel, and Rocio Durcal. 

Ariola, at the time, was searching for a solo artist with experience because everyone else was renowned. 

He got into the company but eventually had a conflict of interests. He met Gustav Sancez, the son of an actress who became his road manager. 

He then started making music as a solo singer, which he recorded in Spain both first and second before moving to Sony with Tomas Munoz. 

He recorded his first album with a new company in L.A., and that was when Fiesta began. 

He eventually was shaped by Caribbean music and became a pop artist with the aim of making fusions with other rhythms because he didn’t want to stay with just one style. 

He wanted to have the freedom to do various things.
