Maria and Cavani were teenage sweethearts and dated for several years before they walked down the aisle in 2007. 

Their marriage union gave birth to their two sons, elder Bautista, born on the 22nd of March, 2011, and younger Lucas, born on the 8th of March, 2013.

Maria Soledad, in an interview back in 2014, stated the reason behind her separation from her then-husband Cavani was her husband's infidelity.

She claimed Cavani was with another girl when their son Lucas was born.

Maria also said Cavani insisted she give birth in Uruguay, saying giving birth in Uruguay would be more peaceful than in Naples, where he would be besieged.

At the end of 2012, when Maria Soledad was expecting her second child, Cavani flew to Uruguay, but when he returned, he was with his mom only, not his wife.

Then Cavani and Ventrone started living together. Their relationship began to shake after Cavani left for Paris from Naples.

He started to feel jealous and did not want her to talk with anyone. They broke up at the end of August.
