Gerardo’s season at Barcelona was a total failure

Gerardo took over the head coaching post replacing Tito Vilanova in July 2013, but the odds were sometimes not in his favor.

Gerardo admitted that his season at Barcelona was a complete failure and that if Barca would have had a different profile, even though they wouldn’t have won the title, it would not have been a failure.

But they didn’t win it, and above that, they didn’t play well. He said that Liga would have been a title that would not have brought anything to the club.

Furthermore, he also added his departure was pre-decided before the end of the 2013-14 season, so his decision to leave would not have changed either.

According to him, one can’t hope not to receive any criticism if there is no win and on top of that if one is foreign and if one does not have a past with the club.

He said if the manager asked him for advice in a similar situation, he would suggest they pass through the club first.

The reason her husband left the AFA

Gerardo was appointed the manager of the Argentina national team in 2014, taking over from Alejandro Sabella, who had led the team to the World Cup final.

But Gerardo decided to resign from his post shortly after the 2016 Copa America Centenario Final, where they lost on penalties for the second time.

Gerardo started playing football early, starting with his local club Newell’s Old Boys, in his native Rosario.

He made his debut at 17 and won three titles as a player.

With appearances in a total of 505 matches, he emerged as the best player and was even selected in a fan’s poll as Newell’s best player throughout the club’s history.

He returned to his native club Newell’s Old Boys, in 2012 after a stint at several clubs and led the team to win the 2013 Torneo final and reached the semi-final of the 2013 Copa Libertadores and saved the club from facing relegation.

During his season at Atlanta United FC, he led the team to an honored in their second season and was honoured with MLS Coach of the Year.

With Mexico, he won the CONCACAF Gold Cup with a 1-0 victory over the United States in 2019.

However, they lost the CONCACAF Nations League Final and the CONCACAF Gold Cup in 2021.
