Marcus Forss

Marcus Forss is a Finland-born professional football player currently playing as a forward for Brentford of the premier League club and a Finland National Team.  

Marcus spent five years in West Bromwich Albion Academy before moving to the Brentford B team. He played for AFC Wimbledon as a loanee.

Left his home country at the age of just 13

Marcus was taken to football rehearsal by his father for the first time when he was five years old, from where he developed a passion for football. 

His father, his first coach, coached him in the Juniors of Turku Weikko. He made his move to England at just 13, leaving the home country Finland to join West Bromwich Albion Academy. 

In 2015, he was able to gain two years scholarship from the Academy. After he got released from the Academy in 2017, he joined the B team at championship club Brentford and, in 2019, joined League One club AFC Wimbledon on loan.  

His improvement in the pitch has led him to sign a new contract deal in 2020 with Brentford. The deal is for five and a half years. 

Comes from a football background

Marcus comes from a football background. His father, Tero Forss, is a retired professional football player and a manager who played as a forward best recognized for his eight years with Inter Turku (1993-2001). 

He is the grandson of Rainer Forss, a professional football manager and a coach. Rainer played 18 national games as a striker.  

Even his mother Maria Forss played football. Both he and his brother followed the family tradition and are excelling in their football career. 

Marcus confessed to getting the striking quality from his father, Tero, who was great at striking balls.

He has an older brother

He has a four and a half year older brother Niclas Forss who plays for Bollklubben-46 as a midfielder. Both brothers learned football skills from their father. 

Marcus and Niclas grew up together playing against each other and helped each other develop. 

According to Niclas, they never gave up an inch despite having a four-and-a-half-year difference. After having played in the Finnish sub-series, Niclas is serving at Kaarina's Boys as a coach.

In a relationship with his girlfriend 

Marcus is currently in a relationship with his girlfriend, Ellinoora Myotyri. It is not known when and how the couple first met, but the couple is enjoying each other's company. 

They started dating on the 8th of April, 2019. Ellinoora keeps updating their pictures together, spending their best time together.

Ellinoora Myotyri is a fashion model from Tampere, Finland, currently residing in London Working at Body London Model Agency. 

Ellinoora started modeling from the early age of 15 and was the top ten finalists of Miss Finland 2018. 

She graduated with a Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA) degree from Metropolia University of Applied Sciences in 2021 and is looking forward to continuing her master's degree in London. 

She is currently working as a Community Manager at Promoty, a marketplace that focuses on creating authentic partnerships between brands and influencers.
